Science Teacher
St. Augustine School is seeking a Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. Rooted in an Augustinian vision of learning and the Catholic Tradition, we believe the natural world is a sacramental threshold — matter made radiant with divine meaning. The Incarnation reminds us that God entered creation; science becomes an act of reverent imagination, reading the book of nature with wonder and precision. Our science curriculum follows contemporary scientific analysis but sees the discipline in light of a more capacious vision. The ideal candidate will inspire students to see, question, and marvel. Ability to teach chemistry and calculus-based physics is required. Please email cover letter and resume to Matthew Briel (mbriel@staugustineschoolmn.org).
Latin Teacher
St. Augustine School is seeking a Latin Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. Rooted in an Augustinian vision of learning and the Catholic Tradition, we draw on the medieval method of Latin instruction — immersing students first in the psalms, liturgy, and simple Christian texts before advancing to formal grammar and classical literature. We believe that two thousand years of Catholic Latin texts form the imagination, drawing students nearer to “so great a cloud of witnesses” not only in translation but in the very language of the tradition. The ideal candidate will bring strong proficiency in both classical and Christian Latin, a love for the literature and theology of the Latin tradition, and the ability to guide students toward genuine mastery of the language. Familiarity with the Lingua Latina per se Illustrata series is a plus. Please email cover letter and resume to Matthew Briel (mbriel@staugustineschoolmn.org).
